Answers

  1. After I created a web site, I went back to ReadyGo Mobile to update the web site. All I see is the web site tree. How do I access my content?
  2. Answer
To access a chapter, you can either click the Edit Chapter button on the toolbar or double-click the page in the web site tree. To access a bullet page, double-click the page in the web site tree.
  3. How do I move a chapter, bullet page, or a Tell Me More article?
  4. Answer
In the web site tree window, left-click and hold the element you want to move. Drag the item to its new location.
  5. How do I view a web site I created in my browser?
  6. Answer
At any time you can generate and view a web site you are creating. Generating a web site converts the material into HTML (what web browser need to read a web page). To generate a web site, click Generate on the toolbar. The first time you generate a site, create a new folder for the course. After you generate a web site, ReadyGo Mobile automatically displays the web site in your default browser. Can't find the file where your web site is stored? Publish the course, and look at the URL/address bar. This gives the full path to the location where the course has been generated. If you can't find the source files for your course, do a search for files with a .wct extension.
  7. ReadyGo Mobile creates multiple files. Some end in .wct, some end in .wcg, and some end in .wc~. What are these files?
  8. Answer
These are the source files for your web site. ReadyGo Mobile generates a web site into HTML. It also saves the web site in ReadyGo Mobile format as source files. This way you can go back and edit a web site or send a web site source file (not HTML) to another web site developer.

ReadyGo Mobile saves the text in a file that ends with.wct, and all your graphics are stored in a file that ends in.wcg.

The file that ends with.wc~ is a backup copy of your web site that is automatically created every 20 minutes.
  9. How do I get a blank line between paragraphs?
  10. Answer
If you are working in the Text/HTML tab, press the Enter (or Return) key twice to add two carriage returns. This creates a blank line in your web site.

If you are working in the Visual Edit tab, simply press Enter or Return once to create a blank line between paragraphs.
  11. How do I view a web site I created?
  12. Answer
There are a few different ways to view a web site you created.
    1. After you generate a web site, you are asked you if you want to view your web site. If you click Yes, ReadyGo Mobile launches your browser with the web site displayed.
    2. After you have generated the web site, choose Publish > Browse web site from the menu bar.
    3. After you have generated your web site once, you can use the Preview Page button on the dialog box toolbar to preview individual pages in a browser.
    4. You can also find the web site on your hard drive, double-click index.htm to launch the web site.
  13. I have an article I wrote in MS Word. How do I integrate it into my web site?
  14. Answer
In Microsoft Word, copy the article. In ReadyGo Mobile, right-click and use paste special to paste the article into a Tell Me More, a Try This, or a custom sub-page on a bullet page. Use the Rich Text Format (RTF) to paste with formatting. Do not paste as a Word or PowerPoint object. If you are in the Visual Edit tab, all formatting is saved. The text, without formatting, is copied over if you are in the Text/HTML tab.
  15. How do I cut and paste between documents?
